Aligned4Learning, LLC, understand that your privacy is important to you. We are committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal data, which is any information capable of identifying you as a person. Please see our Terms of Use for more information about our online terms and policies in general. Your continued use of this Site after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates.

2. Children under 16

Our Sites are not intended for or directed at children 16 years of age or younger, and we do not intentionally collect or maintain personal data about anyone under this age. If you believe we have any information from or about a child under 16, please contact us at info@kararenninger.com

3. Information We Collect

We collect two basic types of information from and about users of our Sites: (1) Personally identifiable information (“PII”); and (2) General Information (“GI”), as defined below:

(a)  Personally Identifiable Information: PII includes any element of information by which you may be personally identified, such as name, gender, e-mail address, postal address, telephone number, or any other identifier by which you may be contacted online or offline.  The information we collect on or through our Sites includes the PII that you provide when completing a form on our Sites. You also may include elements of PII in information to be published or displayed (hereinafter, “posted”) on public areas of our Site or transmitted to other users of our Sites or third parties (collectively, “User Contributions”).  Please note that your User Contributions may be posted on our Sites and can be transmitted to others; thus we implore you to be careful not to include any PII or other information that you do not want to be viewed by members of the general public.  We cannot and do not guarantee that your User Contributions will not be viewed by unauthorized persons.

(b)  General Information:  GI is information about you that does not identify you, such as your IP address and information about your internet connection, the equipment you use to access our Sites, and usage details.  As you navigate through and interact with our Sites, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, including (i) details of your visits to our Sites, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on our Sites; and (ii) information about your computer and internet connection, including your IP address, operating system, and browser type.  The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include:

(i)  Browser Cookies: A cookie is a small file placed on your computer’s hard drive. You may refuse to accept browser Cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. However, if you select this setting you may be unable to access certain parts of our Sites. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you direct your browser to our Sites.

(ii) Flash Cookies: Certain features of our Sites may use local stored objects (or Flash cookies) to collect and store information about your preferences and navigation to, from, and on our Sites. Flash cookies are not managed by the same browser settings as are used for browser cookies.

4. How We Use The Information We Collect

The information we collect helps us to improve our Sites and our services and to deliver a better and more personalized service.  We use PII for the following purposes:

(i)  To present our Sites and their contents to you;

(ii)  To provide you with information you request and products you purchase;

(iii) To provide you with notices about your account, including expiration and renewal notices;

(iv) To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection;

(v) To notify you about changes to our Sites or any products we offer or provide through it;

(vi) To allow you to participate in interactive features on our Sites;

(vii) To contact you about goods and services that may be of interest to you. If you do not want us to use your information in this way, please adjust your user preferences in your account profile; and

(viii)   For any other purpose with your consent.

We use GI to improve our Sites and services in various ways, including the following:

(a)  To estimate our audience size and usage patterns;

(b)  To store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize our Sites according to your interests; and

(c)   To recognize you when you return to our Sites;

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell, distribute, or reveal your PII to third parties for marketing purposes without your consent except as described in this section.  We share PII and GI as follows:

(a) Employees and Contractors.  We share your PII with employees and contractors that must have access to it to perform their functions.

(b)  Service Providers:  We also share PII and General Information with nonaffiliated third parties that perform services or functions on our behalf, including cloud storage and web hosting providers, email service providers, marketing service providers, and software maintenance service providers. Your mobile information will NOT be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

(c)   Advertising Partners:  We may occasionally engage in marketing campaigns with third-party service providers, such as Google, Facebook, or Instagram.  These and other advertising partners use cookies to serve ads based on previous visits to our Site.  This means, after visiting our Sites, you may see an ad for our services.  However, your PII is not utilized in connection with these campaigns. You may opt out of Facebook marketing campaigns by clicking here.  You may opt-out of Google marketing campaigns by clicking here.

(d)  Legal Requests:  If requested or required by law enforcement authorities, courts, or regulators, we may disclose any information we have collected from you. We also may disclose your information to exercise or protect our legal rights or to defend against legal claims.

(e)  Other: In some cases, we may choose to buy or sell assets. In these business transfers, customer information is typically one of the business assets that are transferred.  Moreover, if all or substantially all of our business assets were acquired, or in the unlikely event that we go out of business or enter into bankruptcy, customer information (including your PII), would be one of the assets that are transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur and that any assets may continue to be used as set forth in this policy.

6. How We Protect Information

We take the security of your information seriously and use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect PII against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction, or damage.  Our website and the server(s) upon which our data is stored are hosted using 256-bit Secure Socket Layering (SSL) to encrypt PII. This website also uses a generally accepted standard of technological security for the purpose of protecting all information provided by visitors from misuse, loss, or corruption.

However, because no security system can be 100% effective, we cannot completely guarantee the security of any information we may have collected from or about you.  In addition, we have no control over the security of other websites that you might visit even when a link may appear to those websites from our Sites. If there is a breach of security, then we may either post a notice through the service or attempt to notify you via email so that you can take reasonable protective steps.

7. Your Choices About How We Use and Disclose Your Information

We strive to provide you with choices regarding the personal information you provide to us. We have created mechanisms to provide you with the following control over your information:

(a) Tracking Technologies and Advertising: You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. To learn how you can manage your Flash cookie settings, visit the Flash player settings page on Adobe’s Site.
